Tradition Goes On at Starbucks this Christmas…Be a Santa Claus this Year too!

Holidays are approaching and as we welcome the Christmas Spirit, Starbucks invites you for another year to take part in a special initiative of love, designed especially for children and to …

Be a Santa Claus this Year too!

Last Christmas, with your help, Santa Claus… collected and in hence donated more than 17.400 children’s books and toys in four different medical institutions of the Attica region.

In December 2006, Starbucks in Greece decided to broaden this initiative and to continue offering moments of joy to children who need it. Starbucks invites you once again to support this initiative with your personal participation, in order to enhance the libraries built in 2006 with more books and also create new children’s libraries in other medical institutions too.

Each one of your offers is significant and strengthens the effort aimed to give the opportunity to children and their parents to enjoy creative and pleasant time during their stay at the medical institutions.

From early December 2006 to January 8th 2007, Starbucks partners will accept from friends at every store of the chain in Greece, new or used books in a very good condition, for children of 1 to 18 years old. Starbucks will collect and in hence distribute them to each hospital which takes part in this attempt, based on their particular needs.

Medical Institutions participating in the initiative:

  • “Pan. & Aglaia Kyriakou” General Children’s Hospital of Athens
  • N.P.D.D. General Children’s Hospital of Pentelis
  • Medical Paediatrician Centre of Athens (Children’s Psychiatric Hospital of Athens)
  • “Ipokratio” General Hospital of Thessaloniki (Oncologic Paediatrician Clinic)

Books will also be offered to SOS Children Villages of Vari and Plagiariou in Thessaloniki.
